About us

Our story is rooted in gratitude — our future is rooted in giving.

We are Glenmuir alumni and friends, based in New York and connected worldwide, who turn what the school gave us into opportunity for the students who come next.

Why we exist

Potential should never be limited by circumstance

For many of us, Glenmuir High School is more than a name on a certificate. It is where friendships were formed, ambition was sparked and values took root. We believe every Glenmuir student deserves that same sense of possibility, whatever their family can afford. With support, encouragement and resources, every student can thrive.

How we work

Practical help, transparently delivered

  1. We go where the need is.

We work with the school to fund its most urgent priorities, from exam fees to lab equipment.

  2. We pay directly.

Funds go to verified school programs, vendor accounts or scholarship recipients.

  3. We report back.

Members and major donors receive financial summaries and project updates.

  4. We work together.

We partner with fellow PSA chapters and year groups on larger projects.

What we do

What we do

We fund scholarships, student welfare, STEM and robotics, sports and the arts, campus upgrades and mentorship. We raise those funds through our annual Dinner-Dance, the Summer Fish Fry, community drives, corporate partners and the generosity of individual donors.

Our story

From New York to May Pen

New YorktoMay Pen, Clarendon

The New York Chapter was established in 1997 to connect Glenmuir alumni in and around New York with our alma mater in Clarendon, Jamaica. Over the years our members have funded scholarships, made annual contributions to the Student Welfare Fund, equipped and sent the Robotics Team to competition, and helped the school buy a bus. We may be small, but as we like to say: likkle but wi tallawah.

This is more than charity. It is investing in human potential and ensuring bright minds are never hindered by financial circumstances.
